Relaxing shades of green to bring calm into the home. Looking out on a misty morning and seeing the water touch the grasses brings such a relief of calm into my soul. Calm is something I am always reaching for and only the Lord can do that in my heart, but his creation shouts him name and they speak that sweet rest to me.

Looking out on a calm lake and seeing those distant trees, I would always wonder what was under them. Their reflections on the waters made me glad the waters were still so I could see them clearly. They stand mysteriously and inviting. This painting was created to bring calm and remind me of who brings rest into my lift. The Lord’s burden is light and brings new mercy and grace that I rest in every day.
